Performing Arts

Choir and Vocal Music

Students may take chorus from Grade 3. Vocal music is taught in Grade 5. In MS/HS, three choirs of different levels build student  skills as singers, musicians, and members of an ensemble.

Music Education

Music education is offered from the Early Years through Grade 4 with a Kodály-based curriculum.  Students are exposed to the foundations and building blocks of music, including a special unit on Composer of the Month.  From Grade 5, students are offered a rotation of performing arts which include band, chorus and drama

Drama

Drama/theater studies (from Grades 5-12) allow students the experience of acting, singing and dancing in full length plays and musicals throughout the year.

Band (Instrumental Music)

Our Beginners, Junior, Advanced, and HS Bands perform at different levels. They learn to play instruments, read notes, understand different genres of music, and perform in concerts throughout the year.
