The Walworth Barbour American International School Library and Media Center aims to inspire students and adults alike to seek information and ideas for their educational and recreational needs.  Our goal is to meet the individual educational, emotional, and recreational needs of students and staff. In addition, we provide services and resources to WBAIS parents and the local community at large.

We provide a broad range of educational materials in a variety of formats to implement, enrich, and support the educational program and curriculum of WBAIS. The Library and Media Center hosts a collection of 31,000 books, and many popular and professional magazines. The center also provides access to digital and audio books; a wide range of online databases; DVDs; and a wide variety of equipment. The library sponsors programs like Visiting Authors, Library Read Week and Library Week of Innovations.

All parents of students enrolled at WBAIS are encouraged to borrow materials from the library and to use our online sources. Individuals or families not affiliated with WBAIS who would like to use our library may do so by paying an annual membership fee. For more info, please contact us via:

The Library and Media Center is the heart of the school, and throughout the year teachers and students use our facilities for exhibitions, workshops, and student work displays.
