PTA Meeting Monday, April 8 at 9:00 in the MPR:  We will again focus on just ONE issue, for this month it is Sustainability.

  • Our meeting will feature a very special guest: His Excellency Ambassador Joseph Rutabana of Rwanda, who will talk about his country's experience after enacting a complete ban on plastic bags in 2008.
  • We will also talk about progress establishing a more active sustainability policy and effort at AIS and your ideas on how to achieve this.

Sustainability Meeting for all teachers, staff, parents and students: Monday, April 8 at 15:00 in the MPR (yes, same day as PTA meeting!): Please join us for a serious reporting and brainstorming session on making sustainability efforts comprehensive and effective at AIS.

Seeking parents who want a voice on cafeteria improvements:As you may have heard, we recently met with Sagol, the cafeteria provider, who has agreed to work extensively with the school and parents to make changes that are desired.  We need parents who are willing to contribute to a "working group" that will discuss these issues with Sagol and its culinary professionals. Please email as soon as possible if you are interested in helping. Having some Hebrew speakers would be particularly helpful, but all are welcome.

Thank you for all of your great help to make International Day happened!!
