Middle School Counselor Joe George
My name is Joe George, and this is my first year at WBAIS. I am an educator with 24 years of experience, the last 12 of which were spent as a middle school counselor at the Anglo-American School of Moscow.
I work with middle school students because I enjoy helping early adolescents--and their parents--navigate the sometimes turbulent waters of transitioning towards adulthood. So, if what is happening is not getting the desired result, please consider scheduling a time to chat.
In addition, I am a life-long learner who strives to grow. I have MAs in both School Counseling (University of Detroit-Mercy) and Curriculum (Michigan State), a BA in History (Michigan State), and certification as a Solution-Focused Therapist (BRIEF). In addition, I am a member of both ISCA (International School Counselor Association) and ASCA (American School Counselor Association), and I attend conferences sponsored by these organizations and others every couple of years.
When not at work, you will probably find me at home or exploring all Israel has to offer with my wife and two children.
