My name is Amy Perdigone and I am the ES Counselor at AIS. This is my eighteenth year working in education and I remain full of curiosity, compassion and have a strong desire to help all students succeed.
My education career started in Los Angeles, California, where I earned a BA in Sociology and minored in Education at UCLA. I have an MS in School Counseling with a Pupil Personnel Credential (PPSC) from SFSU. I have enjoyed school counseling in both the high school and elementary school settings from California to Saudi Arabia.
This is my fifth year working at AIS where I am excited to continue getting to know and serve our dynamic and ever-changing community. I am interested in Third Culture Kids (TCKs) and learning more about ways to stay socially and emotionally connected to students and families during these ever-changing times. To help stay current in the school counseling trends and research, I am a member of both ISCA (International School Counselor Association) and the ASCA (American School Counselor Association) and attend conferences sponsored by these organizations. Since COVID-19, I have been active in many professional learning communities that focus on student wellness.
Even Yehuda is not only the city where I work, but it is also where live and enjoy calling home with my four-year-old daughter. I care deeply about the community I serve and my door is always open to students and families.
