If you test positive and you have symptoms, ie: fever, a cold, sore throat, cough, body aches, do NOT send your child to school or come to work.

Like any other communicable illness, such as the Flu, it is important to remain home until you are fever free for 24 hours without the use of medications and your symptoms are improving. 

The MOH recommends staying at home for 5 days from the day of the positive test but it is no longer required to isolate, even if you receive a positive result.  

We must remember, however, that even though there is no obligation to isolate, COVID is a contagious disease and therefore we must act responsibly for the safety of those around us.

Again, it is up to each of us to act responsibly.

The simple answer is No.  If, however, you have symptoms such as a sore throat, cough, cold, headache, it is recommended to do a COVID home test.  If the result is negative and your symptoms are mild with no fever, you can come to work/school.  If the result is positive, see the above answer “What do I do if I test COVID positive and I have symptoms”.

It is not required to mask if you have tested positive and have no symptoms.  It is, however, advised in order to protect people around us, especially those in high risk groups.  

The school follows the guidelines of the host country, Israel.

At the beginning of each month, the Ministry of Health posts dates, times and locations of COVID Immunizations Stations where those without local health insurance, children from age 6 months and adults, can get the COVID Vaccine.  We will publish the information every month. There are 2 such stations, one in Tel Aviv and one in Jerusalem. You will need to take your passport and documentation of your previous COVID Vaccinations.
